Questions parents ask first
How much space do you need?
About a 10 by 10 foot area indoors or under cover. We bring our own tables, chairs and decorative setup, so all we need is a level spot and a door we can carry through.
How long does a party last?
The workshop runs 60 to 90 minutes for 8 to 16 guests. We arrive 45 minutes early to set up and stay after to pack down, so cake and presents never get squeezed.
What's included in the $300 package?
Everything for up to eight children: bears, stuffing, clothing, a blank outfit with fabric markers, birth certificates, take-home keepsakes, plus tables, chairs, decorative setup and the photo mirror. Extra children are $30 each.

The Mobile Bear Boutique is a family-run teddy bear workshop on wheels, operated by Rafal & Ko LLC and built on one idea: the best part of a bear is making it.
Instead of driving to the store,
the store drives to you.
We load the bears, the clothing racks, the fabric markers, the tables, the chairs and the photo mirror, and we set the whole boutique up wherever your people already are — a living room, a school cafeteria, a church hall, a reception venue, a festival lawn.
Every guest chooses a bear, helps stuff it, picks out clothing, decorates a blank outfit, names their bear and fills out a personalized birth certificate. Then they carry it home. That's the part parents tell us about months later: the bear is still on the bed.
We don't simply provide stuffed animals. We create memories that last a lifetime.

How the hour runs
A timeline that leaves
room for cake
45 minutes before · We arrive
We carry in, set the tables and chairs, dress the boutique and stage the photo mirror. You keep greeting guests.
Minute 0 · Choose a bear
Guests line up at the boutique and pick their bear. Our host explains what's about to happen in kid language.
Minute 10 · Stuff and squeeze
Each child helps fill their bear, tests the squeeze, and gives it a heart before it's closed up.
Minute 25 · Dress and decorate
Outfits come off the rack, then everyone designs a blank outfit with fabric markers. This is the quietest, happiest part of the party.
Minute 50 · Name and certify
Bears get named and birth certificates get filled out — a keepsake parents end up framing.
Minute 60–90 · Photos, then we disappear
Group photos at the mirror, then we pack down while cake happens. You're left with a clean room.

A 90-student reading day and a 200-guest festival need different station counts, staffing and timing. We price yours around the real plan instead of stretching a birthday package to fit.

The fine print, in plain words
Is there a deposit?
A $75 deposit holds your date and comes off your total, with the balance due the day of the event. It's fully refundable if you cancel at least 72 hours ahead.
Do you charge for travel?
The first 25 miles from Bakersfield are included. Beyond that we add a flat mileage rate, quoted before you book so there are no surprises.
What if a guest doesn't show up?
Your package is priced on the count you confirm 72 hours before the party. If fewer guests arrive, the extra bears are yours to keep or gift.
Can we add children on the day?
Usually yes — we bring spare bears. Extra guests are billed at $30 each on the final invoice.

What exactly happens at a party?
Guests choose a bear, help stuff it, pick out clothing, decorate a blank outfit with fabric markers, name their bear and complete a personalized birth certificate. Our host runs every station so no adult has to manage the line.
How much space do you need?

Yes, with shade or cover. Wind and stuffing are not friends, so a covered patio, pavilion or canopy keeps everything where it belongs.
Do you travel outside Bakersfield?
Yes. The first 25 miles are included and we travel throughout Kern County regularly. Longer distances are quoted with your event before you book.
Are you insured?
Yes. The Mobile Bear Boutique is operated by Rafal & Ko LLC and carries full liability insurance. We provide certificates of insurance, W-9s and invoices for schools, churches, venues and corporate vendors.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to four weeks is comfortable. Weekends go first, and custom studio artwork needs about two weeks for approval and printing.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 72 hours before your party and your $75 deposit is refunded in full, no questions asked. Inside 72 hours the deposit is non-refundable, because by then we've bought your bears and turned down the date. Rescheduling is free any time with 72 hours' notice.
Can we add more children later?
Yes. Confirm your final count 72 hours ahead when you can, but we bring spares — extra guests are $30 each on the final invoice.
Can the bears have our logo or names on them?
That's what The Bear Design Studio is for. We heat-press logos, names, dates and custom artwork onto bear shirts, onto bears themselves, and onto drawstring backpacks. Send us the idea and we'll mock it up.
How does Charity of the Month work?
Anyone can nominate a registered local nonprofit, as many times as they like, all month long. On the last day of the month we hold a live drawing on social media, and 10% of that month's profits goes to the organization drawn.
Do you offer fundraising partnerships?
Yes. For school and nonprofit fundraisers we build a package where a portion of every bear supports your cause — separate from, and in addition to, our Charity of the Month giving.
